Oh, and the worst tweet of the night.
He’s actually been called “hipster cop” for years—the nickname originated with someone at the mayor’s office who was directing someone to Lee by saying, “Oh you’ll recognize him, he’s the hipster cop.”
Best cop on the force.

This is going to go away, unfortunately.
A video that I posted last year of Peal Jam performing Temple Of The Dog’s ‘Hunger Strike’ with Band Of Horses’ Ben Bridwell. I regrettably missed this by one day.

This past Friday evening, I was refused cab service to Brooklyn for approximately the twentieth time in the last two years.
I went on to NYC.gov to research how to report this jerk and was met with this…

Can’t I just write someone an email? I’m busy. Additionally, they require the following information…

What I have is…

There’s got to be an easier way (looking at you, Village Voice) to get vindicated in this town!
I offered Damian from F*cked Up tacos on Twitter to come hang out at the BuzzFeed office today.
He should come by, right?

I was lucky enough to see Eddie Vedder, ukulelist at The Beacon Theatre last night. As always, Eddie was solid and reaffirmed the notion that I don’t need to cut my hair just yet.
A little less than halfway through the set, Eddie started talking about the first concert he ever attended - Bruce & The E Street Band, Chicago, IL, Auditorium Theatre, 1977. He talked about how “there was The Big Man” in “the glowing white suit” (“I think he had white shoes as well”) who even when the spotlight was solely on Bruce, Clarence still glowed. It was a remarkable tribute.
If you were at the show last night, you know that The Beacon was nothing short of Draconian about the use of cameras and camera phones. However, I want to believe that someone has this.
If you managed to record Eddie’s eulogy, please email: mike@buzzfeed.com
